Happy News for VU Students to Receive Prime Minister's Laptops Scheme

Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme..2015 

The Government of Pakistan has launched the Phase-II Laptop Scheme (2015) of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme to enhance the scope of research and high quality education in the country. During this phase II 2015, laptops will be distributed among-st the talented students as per the defined eligibility on their study and distribution criteria.

Virtual University of Pakistan is pleased to announce that in the second phase of this scheme, laptops will be awarded to Virtual University students who meet the eligibility criteria as below mention. Following criteria of merit will be followed to distribute the laptops among the University’s students.

Eligibility Criteria for VU Students.

• Students enrolled in PhD/MS/MPhil or equivalent 18- year programme.
• Students enrolled in 1 or 2-year Masters degree programme.
• Students enrolled in 4-year or 5-year Bachelor degree programme.
• Students studying as distant learner in Virtual University of Pakistan
• Students studying in government degree or postgraduate colleges of Federal Capital and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas.
• Students of 2/3 years DAE programme of Government Colleges of Technology.

Important Note:
• Physical presence of the student will be required for the award.
• Student’s eligibility and enrolment status as defined above shall be determined as of June 30, 2015.
• Only online registered students, whose credentials are verified by the respective university/institution, shall be considered eligible. No other mode of application shall be entertained.
